IFAD and Agri-PDB Platform Learning Event: Financing Nature-Positive Agriculture: What Public Development Banks Can Do

This learning event explored how Public Development Banks can finance nature-positive agriculture, building on earlier discussions on agroecology as one of its key pathways. Held online on 3 December 2025 and organised by the Agri-PDB Platform and IFAD’s Biodiversity Team, the webinar launched a new biodiversity-focused series and brought together representatives from IFAD, AFD, DBSA, BNDES and PDBs across Africa, Latin America and Asia. The session combined institutional perspectives and practical case studies to examine how biodiversity considerations can be integrated into agricultural lending, risk management and financial instruments, with a focus on pragmatic tools, blended finance and partnerships.
