Webinar series on Key Performance Indicators Governance and Strategic Integration of Impact - Webinar held in English |
|
| 2 March 2026 | Online
The Agri-PDB Platform, in collaboration with the German development bank KfW, Findev Advisory, and DJOSSOUR Formation & Conseil, launched a webinar series dedicated to the strategic integration of impact indicators (KPIs) within agricultural Public Development Banks (PDBs). The first session held in English welcomed Junetapelin Karimi, Senior Credit Manager – Operations at the Agricultural Finance Corporation (AFC) of Kenya. Providing insights from AFC, the PDB representative explained that activities are aligned with national development priorities by defining KPIs at the strategic level under Board supervision. The interactive discussion demonstrated that, despite challenges like absence of standardized agricultural taxonomy to facilitate institution comparison, impact measurement is a genuine governance tool serving more inclusive and sustainable agricultural finance. |

Trends and emerging challenges related to the development of KPIs - Webinar held in French |
|
| 31 March 2026 | Online
In the context of the multitude of current challenges, major trends are emerging—such as financial inclusion, the agroecological transition, and climate change—and these must be taken into account by PDBs. Featuring Assana Coulibaly, Head of the Department Responsible for ESG Issues at the National Agricultural Development Bank of Mali (BNDA), the second session provided concrete insights on how impact indicators (economic, social, and environmental) are collected, centralized, and used by BNDA in governance and decision-making, supported by a structured system of controls and monitoring. |

| Agri-PDB Platform hosts its first Steering Committee meeting |
|
| 26 March 2026 | Online
In March, the Agri-PDB Platform reached a key milestone by hosting the first meeting of its Steering Committee. Represented by PDBs, Regional PDB networks, Civil Society Organisation representative, donors, and observers, SC members play a pivotal role in providing strategic guidance and oversight of the Platform, while ensuring alignment with global rural development priorities. The constructive meeting reviewed the Agri-PDB implementation progress and discussed and approved the orientations and work plan for 2026-2028. |

| The discussion with UDB revealed their strong interest, particularly in the Platform’s work on agroecology, peer-to-peer exchange on agricultural investment, refinancing mechanisms, carbon accounting and MRV training, as well as potential collaboration on research and data collection related to African public development banks. |
|
|
| The exchange with SBP emphasized possible synergies regarding the banks’ climate finance activities, particularly the green taxonomy, climate finance guidelines, and climate-related toolkits, highly relevant to the Platform’s work. In addition, opportunities for collaboration in learning activities will be explored in the coming months. |

In April, the Agri-PDB Platform will host a training on agroecology in Morocco for PDBs, and Deposit and Loan Funds from Benin, Burundi, Mali, Senegal and Togo. During the whole month, a representative of FINAGRO will be travelling to Rome to meet the Agri-PDB Secretariat to exchange and strengthen the Platform’s understanding of the needs of PDBs. In parallel, the Platform will continue its learning series with upcoming webinars in focusing on nutrition, land restoration, biodiversity and key performance indicators.
